Scholarship Information
The Partnership for Biotechnology Research raises funds for the advancement of biotechnology education through the PBR Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament. This funding is used to support undergraduate and graduate internships and scholarships and career development workshops at local educational institutions. Please see the attached scholarship application, below.
- 2012-2013 APPLICATION DEADLINE: June 1, 2012
- 2012-2013 AWARD DATE: August 1, 2012
Highlights of Scholarship Guildines:
- Applicants must be enrolled in a college or university associated with biotechnology during the academic year for which the scholarship is awarded
- Applicants must have at least a 3.0 GPA (incoming freshman must have a high school GPA of 3.0 or greater).
- Applicants must be in a biotechnology-related degree program (biology, chemistry, engineering, etc.).
Recipients of the PBR Annual Scholarship ($500 each) are required to:
- Be enrolled in an accredited college or university (priority given to institutions within a 75 mile radius of Huntsville)
- Pursure a degree-granting program related to biotechnology.
- Register for at least one course each semester of the academic year
- Maintain a 3.0 GPA or better
- Be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen
