Domestic Abuse

Domestic violence is the behavior in which a partner practices physical assault, sexual assault, willful intimidation, or other forms of abusive behavior. It is a tragedy that plagues individuals in all communities. Violence directed towards women often happens with both emotional and physical abuse. Physical assault results in injury, mental and social disorders, and and even result in death.

Divorce is often a means of escaping these traits of abuse. It’s important to know how divorce operates in your state. (Check our Divorce page for more information.)
